Dr. Bjarne Berg
Dr. Berg is an internationally recognized expert in Business Intelligence. He is a Principal and the Tax Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Leader in Tax Technology & Compliance (TT&C) at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. He has managed global projects and upgrades for many fortune 500 companies in Europe and the USA for almost 20 years. He has also been a Professor at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Additionally, Dr. Berg is frequently published in international BI journals and is the co-author of SAP HANA: An Introduction from SAP PRESS. He holds a Bachelors from Appalachian State University, an MBA from East Carolina University, a Doctorate in IS from the University of Sarasota, and a Ph.D in IT from University of North Carolina. He attended the Norwegian Army Military Academy, and served as an officer.
Joerg Boeke is a frequent internationally recognized speaker for the SAPinsider BI events and SAPinsider Blog series, as well as Trainer for several SAP courses.
Joerg is author of the book "SAP BW 7.x Reporting - Visualize your data” as well as multiple articles for BI Expert and SAPinsider BI or IT-Toolbox. Joerg started his career in 1992 after studying computer science as developer in Microsoft area and switching to SAP BW in 1998 working with SAP-BW release 1.
Joerg was part of the SAP development team in Walldorf developing SAP BW 2.0B content and created several content extractors for enterprise buyer (B2B) and CRM.
Joerg is not only an executive and practicing consultant and managing Partner for BIAnalyst, but a hands-on developer since his earliest days with SAP-BW. One of his topics is delivering customer based trainings in Performance optimization as well as various workshops to increase BW performance.
His skills cross functional and technical domains as well as SAP and non-SAP. He has implemented several projects merging Microsoft and SAP-BW technologies and in the last recent years consulting for SAP HR (HCM) BW reporting solutions.
Luc Boodts is a Principal Consultant at Expertum. He has over 20 years of SAP experience in areas such as SAP HCM, BW, BI, and SAP HANA. Prior to joining Expertum he worked as Principal Consultant at SAP Belgium for nearly 15 years, where he was one of the first BW consultants and active since release 1.2B. Before joining SAP he worked at a local partner focusing on SAP HCM implementations. He has worked on several local and international projects in the SAP BW area and integrated BusinessObjects with SAP BW. He has been focusing on SAP HANA since 2012 and currently works on BW on SAP HANA and Suite on SAP HANA projects.
Alexandra Carvalho is the Head of Analytics at BI Group Australia and an SAP Mentor. A recognised thought leader in the Analytics space, published author and internationally acclaimed speaker, Alexandra has more than 20 years of experience in SAP focusing on Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Information Management. Alexandra’s capabilities and strengths are not only in being an expert in the technical domain area, but also in her interpersonal dynamics – specifically her ability to relate to people and break down complex topics, explaining them in a frame that takes the “mystique” out of a topic that traditionally is extremely complex in nature. Soumya is a Director and CIO Fellow within Deloitte’s SAP Service Line and serves as practice leader for the Re-platforming and Modernization capability. Soumya is responsible for Deloitte’s ‘Migration to S/4 HANA’ services across various industry sectors and geographies throughout the world. He is a leader in Deloitte’s go-to-market efforts with SAP Modernization, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud and Technology solutions.
Mark is currently engaged on a five year programme rolling out an SAP ERP global template solution with SAP BusinessObjects BI4 as the reporting solution with SAP BW. He is responsible for the design and delivery of the solution architecture against global enterprise architecture standards and managing the integration of BI4 with BW, CTS+, NW Portal, and Solution Manager 7.1.
He has worked with the BusinessObjects product stack since Seagate Info 6 through the Crystal, BusinessObjects, and SAP acquisitions. He worked as a consultant for three of the best known SAP BusinessObjects partners prior to joining IBM before moving onto a permanent role with British American Tobacco.
Albert Di Lallo
Mr. Dinkel has over 15 years of experience managing, developing, and implementing large-scale complex information systems. He has extensive experience in all phases of the SDLC of enterprise-wide Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence solutions, Custom client/server, and Web Applications. Mr. Dinkel’s prior background includes project management, ETL, business analysis, design, development, and administration of Data Warehouses supporting SAP, PeopleSoft, relational databases, and SAP BW/BusinessObjects systems. He has helped large, medium, and small enterprise customers to build out robust reporting and analytic architectures that support operational, ad hoc, analytical, and dashboard requirements. Mr. Dinkel has built hundreds of reports, analytics, metrics, and dashboards that are in use around the world today. He has worked in various business verticals including finance, energy, real estate, human resources, utilities, telecommunications, and technology for commercial and government organizations. Mr. Dinkel is currently a Director responsible for the delivery of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to the 60,000+ professionals of the US Member Firms of Deloitte. He is also an advisor in the areas of SAP BW and SAP BusinessObjects to the Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu Limited Global Member Firms.
Bill Faison is a Manager SAP Projects with Valero Energy Corporation and his team is responsible for developing analytical solutions using SAP BW and BusinessObjects. He has 24 years experience with SAP and has been working with SAP BW since it was released. Bill's SAP functional areas of focus are in the areas of: Oil and Gas, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, TSW and Sales and Distribution. His upgrade knowledge spans SAP ECC, SAP BW, Business Warehouse Accelerator (BWA) and BusinessObjects.
Thomas Grassl is Senior Director leading SAP’s Global Developer Relations programs for Databases, Mobile, Cloud, and APIs. His responsibilities include developer engagement, outreach programs, developer marketing, and developer communications.
Thomas has more than 20 years experience in the software industry specializing enterprise applications. He joined SAP in 2005 leading product marketing for mobile, portal, and user experience products.
Matthias Haendly is Vice President of SAP’s Platform Solution Marketing group. He has spent 20 years within SAP covering Development and Marketing functions, and is currently responsible for cross platform topics such as simplification, Digital transformation and next generation data center.
Chris Hallenbeck is the head of SAP Database & Data Management Sales in Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA). In this role, he works closely with customers across the region to drive their innovation and competitive advantage in this digital era.
Chris joined SAP in 2012 as the global head of HANA Solution Management and quickly rose to Global VP of Database & Technology (now Database & Data Management), leading the company’s product strategy and go-to-market in this area before taking on his current role as a member of the SAP EMEA regional leadership team.
Chris has more than twenty experience in business technology. Prior to joining SAP, he was CTO of ZoomSystems, a developer of machine to machine software for retailers. He was also VP of Products for DemandTec, one of the first successful big data cloud companies (subsequently acquired by IBM) and lead for the global center of excellence for Siebel System’s order management division after they acquired OnLink Technologies, a start-up Chris helped to build.
Rudolf Hois is the chief product owner for SAP S/4HANA on premise. In his 18 years at SAP he held various positions in development and product management spanning from running industry development for Oil&Gas, Chemicals, Mining towards chief architecture roles in a variety of large scale programs. Rudolf also serves as trusted advisor for many of SAP’s largest clients on their route to adopt innovations as now SAP S/4HANA.
Kurt Hollis is a manager at Deloitte Consulting, LLP in the SAP Solutions Network located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kurt has 16 years of experience with SAP products along with an SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Associate Certification and has performed expert consulting for SAP clients for over 12 of those years, 4 years as employee of Deloitte, and 10 years as employee of SAP Americas, and 2 years in a Big Pharma organization. A primary focus of Kurt’s specialty is with SAP HANA Systems performing administration, operations, and monitoring of several HANA systems. Irene Hopf leads the Center of Competence for SAP Solutions at Lenovo globally. She has more than 20 years of experience in the SAP customer space with infrastructure solutions.
In this context she is recognized as a thought leader and gives trusted advise for large scale customer implementations for the integration of services, hardware and software supporting SAP implementations.

Based in Vancouver Canada, Ms. Landry has been with SAP for 11 years, through Crystal Decisions and Business Objects, with broad experience in product management and go-to-market strategies across direct and indirect channels. Don Loden is Director – Data & Analytics at Protiviti with full life cycle data warehouse development experience in multiple verticals. He is an SAP-certified application associate on SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator and he speaks globally at numerous SAP and ASUG conferences and has authored many articles and reports in various industry publications. Dirk Morgenroth is a senior consultant for Business Intelligence at Atos, Vienna. As a certified SAP application professional with seven years of hands-on experience in SAP NetWeaver BW, he covers the complete BI lifecycle, and supports clients in defining their BI strategy and in designing, implementing, and maintaining their individual Data Warehouse solutions. Philip is a published author on the topic of EIM. Heiko Steigerwald is Principal Director with Accenture and responsible for Analytics Offerings in Accenture´s global SAP HANA Center of Excellence (SAP HANA CoE) in particular for Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. He has setup and led the SAP HANA CoE globally for the last three years with focus on SAP HANA Strategy and Roadmap, SAP HANA Solution Architecture and BI Architecture. In design and implementation of complex management and operational reporting systems on basis of SAP technology for multinational companies he acquired deep expertise in SAP BW, BI, analytics and data management.
Eric Vallo has been a part of the greater Business Objects community since 1999, and involved in business intelligence as a whole since early 1998. He has had the opportunity to cover all facets of reporting and analytics, ranging from report and universe development through to business intelligence platform architecture and strategy. Eric is one of the co-founders of EV Technologies in the United States and Australia, and the managing partner at EV Technologies in the United States, an SAP Certified Associate in SAP BusinessObjects, an SAP Mentor, and, is co-host of the Diversified Semantic Layer podcast network. Eric currently lives in St. Louis, MO.
Blair’s role is to focus on how to best meet the BI needs of customer that run SAP BW or SAP ERP software. In this role, Blair focuses on understanding the business challenges of our customers, sharing best practices, and evangelizing new solutions.
Blair has been with SAP for 10 years. Prior to working for SAP, Blair was a developer and product manager for Siebel Systems.
